FAMILY MEDIATION - FINANCIAL PLANS
A Financial Plan outlines the negotiated terms surrounding topics such as, but not limited to, division of property, division of pensions and RRSP's, who is staying in the home and support payments. Full financial disclosure is required to ensure that both parties are making informed and educated decisions through the separation or Divorce.
FAMILY MEDIATION - PARENTING PLANS
A Parenting Plan outlines the negotiated day-to-day arrangements between the parents and the children during and after the separation or Divorce. This normally includes custody (decision making) and access (residential schedule). It will also include topics like holiday and birthday arrangements, who is doing the back-to-school shopping every year and who will be responsible for booking the dentist appointments.
The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) serves as a legal document and can include the Parenting Plan, the Financial Plan and any other specifications that pertain to your circumstances in your separation or Divorce. Since every family has it's own unique structure, the MOA is designed to detail the negotiated terms which will encourage a healthy transition through the separation and a positive co-parenting relationship for your children.
